The CFO will oversee Accrete’s Accounting and Finance teams and execute all aspects of day-to-day functions including financial planning, variance analysis, financial reporting, AR & AP, payroll, and treasury-related activities. The skills needed to succeed include strong leadership, accounting, FP&A, and communication skills. A successful candidate will have prior experience scaling financial infrastructures, expertise in the growth phases of a venture capital, private equity and M&A, preferably in the context of a SaaS-company environment. The CFO will partner with C-Suite level executives for company-wide growth and development. This position reports directly to the CEO.
Provide insightful and trusted counsel to the Chief Executive Officer, management team, and investors on both financial and broad-based business issues related to the overall performance of the Company
Serve as a key member of the senior executive team in providing input to management peers regarding the financial implications of all major business decisions, as well as strategic input in shaping the Company’s business objectives
Establish a solid financial foundation with appropriate systems that will allow the business to grow effectively (organically through growth equity capital raises and M&A) over the next several years
Oversee all things accounting (monthly financial closes, general ledger entries, collections, billing, AR/AP, expense reports, Payroll, etc.)
Identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement
Manage external relationships with auditors, tax preparers, (including audit process to completion) and maintain compliance with all tax regulations
Manage global payroll and employee benefits processing alongside the selected PEO
Provide monthly financial statements. Prepare and present at quarterly board meetings
Project acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations
Help determine and report on KPIs
Manage the business forecast, and assist the team with analyzing
Current financial professional with 10+ years of financial leadership roles, with at least 3 years’ experience of management as a head of finance reporting to a non-finance professional.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business. CPA and/or CMA preferred
A background in growing SaaS and/or marketplace businesses
Team player with strong communication, customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and work proactively and independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Familiarity with software revenue recognition, metrics, and best practices
Strong FP&A skillset with analytical, intellectually curious mindset
Ability to develop and implement systems, tools, and processes increasing business clarity
Prior experience within a company that is backed by Private Equity investors and/or Venture Capital
Mergers & acquisitions experience preferred but not required
Financial industry experience a plus but not required
